About the project
IN2 has been appointed by an international student residential developer to deliver MEP planning and Sustainability services for a new 196-bed PBSA scheme in Berlin. Upon completion, the development will provide high quality living space for the city’s growing student population, along with amenities including a gym and co-working facilities.
The project is of particular significance as a residential solution due to its proximity to the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin).
The building is targeting DGNB platinum and EH40 energy efficiency standards. IN2 will support this goal by supporting the team as energy and sustainability consultants as well as DGNB Auditors. These tasks include Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), overheating assessment, daylight assessment, and energy modelling, amongst other tasks.
IN2 is involved across all project stages, from concept through to handover, in accordance with HOAI service phases LPH1–LPH9. The project is currently scheduled for completion in 2028.
