Utilities Applications

Technical support for utility applications and network operator engagement, from initial enquiry through to connection approval.

Utility connections — electricity, gas, water and drainage — are consistently among the longest lead items on a development programme. Network operators require technically accurate applications before they will design or quote for a connection, and errors or omissions at application stage can add months to the process.

IN2 prepares the technical documentation required by network operators, manages the application process on behalf of the client, and maintains liaison through to connection approval and adoption. We work across electrical, gas, water and drainage connections, coordinating with multiple utilities simultaneously where the programme requires it.

IN2 smooths the application process for any utility

On larger or more complex schemes — high-load developments, district heating networks, multi-phase residential projects — early utility engagement is a critical path item. Getting applications submitted accurately and on time is one of the most effective ways to protect the development programme.

Our services include:

  • Electrical connection applications to network operators (DNO / ESB Networks)
  • Gas connection applications and technical liaison
  • Water and drainage connection applications and coordination
  • Load schedule and technical documentation preparation
  • Multi-utility programme coordination and network operator liaison
