About Chris McCaughey - BIM & Digital Delivery Lead at IN2 Engineering

Chris McCaughey is the Group BIM & Digital Delivery Lead at IN2 Engineering, responsible for shaping and driving the firm’s digital engineering strategy across all offices. Based in the Belfast office, and with 13 years experience, he works closely with leadership and project teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital delivery across the business.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

Chris leads the development and implementation of BIM standards, workflows and digital best practices, supporting teams in delivering coordinated, efficient and data-driven projects. His role focuses on embedding digital processes that improve collaboration, reduce risk and enhance project outcomes from design through to construction.

Working across a wide range of sectors and project types, Chris ensures that digital delivery aligns with both project requirements and wider business objectives. He also plays a key role in translating technical BIM outputs into content that supports marketing, bid submissions and business development activity, helping to communicate IN2’s technical capability and project delivery approach to clients and stakeholders.

Chris also contributes to the ongoing evolution of digital engineering within IN2, with a focus on how data, automation and emerging technologies can enhance design quality and project delivery. He works with teams across the business to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation and information management, ensuring that digital tools are used in a practical and scalable way across projects.

Chris is closely involved in advancing IN2’s digital capability, supporting the adoption of new tools, technologies and ways of working across the organisation.

Before joining IN2 Engineering in 2019, Chris joined WYG (now Tetra Tech) as a mechanical engineer in 2013 after University before progressing to a BIM Manager position.
