Ciaran Duffy

About Ciaran Duffy - Associate Director at IN2 Engineering

Ciaran Duffy is an Associate Director at IN2 Engineering, based in the Athlone office, with over 15 years’ experience in the design and delivery of mechanical building services across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, life sciences, aviation, residential, education and cultural projects.

Since joining IN2 in 2015, Ciaran has progressed from Senior Mechanical Engineer to Associate Director, playing a key role in delivering complex projects across Ireland. He leads mechanical design from concept through to construction and handover, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, high-performance engineering solutions.

Ciaran has developed strong expertise in mechanical services design, renewable energy systems and thermal modelling, alongside capabilities in project management and building performance. He is also a qualified BER Assessor, with a strong understanding of energy performance, compliance and sustainable design.

His project experience includes major infrastructure and cultural developments such as the Hold Baggage System upgrades at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports, the redevelopment of Strokestown Park House & National Famine Museum, and the Ballymun North Quarter Student Accommodation scheme.

Prior to joining IN2, Ciaran gained experience with Delap & Waller Consulting Engineers, GMG Mechanical Services and i-sec (Innovative Sustainable Energy Consultants), working across a range of commercial, healthcare and education projects. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Services Engineering from Technological University Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical & Renewable Energy Systems from Technological University of the Shannon.
