About Jason Lyons - Head of BIM Department at IN2 Engineering

Jason Lyons is Head of BIM at IN2 Engineering, based in the Dublin office, where he leads the Building Information Modelling (BIM) department and oversees a team of BIM managers and technicians responsible for the delivery of coordinated digital models across projects. 

As a founding member of IN2, Jason has played a key role in the development of the firm’s BIM capability since its inception in 2002. Jason works closely with engineering teams and the wider design team to coordinate MEP services within the virtual model, ensuring designs are fully integrated, clash-free and aligned with project requirements. He is responsible for overseeing the production and quality of BIM deliverables across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, commercial, residential and education.

With over two decades of experience in BIM and digital coordination, Jason supports project teams through all stages of delivery, from early design through to construction. His role focuses on ensuring BIM is applied effectively at project level, improving coordination, reducing risk and supporting efficient construction outcomes.

Jason also plays a key role in managing and developing the BIM team, ensuring consistent standards of delivery across projects and supporting collaboration between engineers, technicians and design teams. His experience and practical understanding of project requirements allow him to guide teams in delivering coordinated, high-quality outputs that support efficient construction and project delivery.

Jason has extensive experience in BIM coordination and digital modelling, with strong technical capability across Revit MEP, AutoCAD and associated BIM tools. His specialist expertise includes model coordination, information management and common data environment (CDE) processes, supporting the effective delivery of complex building services projects.

His project portfolio includes Trinity College Business School, North Wall Quay Offices, the Lyric Theatre Belfast, AIT Science Laboratories Refurbishment.
