Simon Sloan is a Director at IN2 Engineering and leads the firm’s Belfast office. A Chartered Engineer with over a decade of experience in the construction industry, Simon specialises in the design and delivery of complex building services infrastructure across the healthcare, commercial and public sectors.
Simon joined IN2 in 2025 and is responsible for strengthening the company’s presence in Belfast while supporting projects across the UK and Ireland.
Working closely with colleagues across IN2’s international network of offices, he focuses on delivering high-quality engineering solutions that combine practical design, sustainability and modern building technology.
His career includes senior engineering roles with organisations such as AECOM, Arup and Bennett Freehill, where he developed extensive experience in the design of resilient electrical infrastructure for large and complex buildings. His project portfolio includes major healthcare developments such as Craigavon Area Hospital and Altnagelvin Hospital, alongside commercial and public realm developments including Custom House Square in Belfast.
Simon holds a Master of Engineering in Energy and Building Services Engineering from Ulster University and is a Chartered Engineer with professional memberships including MCIBSE, MIET and MIEI.
Outside of work Simon lives in Belfast with his family and enjoys travelling, cooking and live music.
