To protect sensitive collections from degradation, IN2 thoroughly assesses temperature, humidity and daylight exposure
IN2 undertakes daylighting analysis to ensure best-practice conservation requirements are realised
Daylighting analysis ensures that cumulative light levels are not excessive enough to be detrimental to artifacts and museum pieces. In addition to the well understood avoidance of direct sunlight (with associated UV effects), conservation requires that cumulative diffuse lighting does not exceed levels that could result in risk of damage occurring.
Controlling environmental conditions such as sunlight exposure, temperature and humidity is also critical to preserving artefacts while maintaining visitor comfort.
