IN2 was appointed to support the design and delivery of a new-build hyperscale data centre for a major global client, providing full mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) services design alongside project and contract management.

Constructed on a greenfield site, the project presented several challenges, including limited access to local contractors, supply-chain constraints and an accelerated delivery programme. IN2 responded by leveraging a global supply chain and adopting fast-track construction methods, including off-site fabrication, to streamline delivery, reduce programme timelines and minimise onsite installation requirements.

Collaborative workshops brought together the architectural, MEP design and contractor teams, supporting effective coordination and the early resolution of potential construction challenges. The facility’s infrastructure was designed with N+1 resilience to provide the reliability required for mission-critical operations.

With an IT capacity of 2.0MW, the facility incorporates free-cooling technology that uses local ambient conditions to optimise energy performance and operational efficiency. The project was successfully delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard, establishing a repeatable model for future data centre developments.
