This project involves the development of a high-capacity data centre campus comprising six 10MW data halls, delivered through a phased four-stage construction programme. The design strategy was developed to support scalable growth, with each phase expanding the campus while maintaining operational resilience and future flexibility.
Recognising limitations in the local electrical network, IN2 adopted a forward-thinking energy strategy that leverages the adjacent GNI transmission infrastructure to maximise onsite power generation. By enabling 90-95% of the campus's annual electrical demand to be generated locally, the project delivers a resilient, secure, and sustainable solution that supports long-term operational performance while reducing reliance on the wider grid.
Key highlights
- Designed a scalable energy strategy for a six-hall, 60MW data centre campus.
- Developed a phased infrastructure plan to support long-term expansion across four construction stages.
- Overcame grid capacity constraints through an innovative onsite power generation approach.
- Enabled 90-95% onsite electricity generation, enhancing energy resilience and security.
