Our approach ensures life safety systems are fully integrated with wider building services and aligned with the operational needs of the building.
Life safety systems include fire detection and alarm (BS 5839), emergency lighting (BS 5266), smoke control and ventilation, sprinkler and gaseous suppression systems, and the emergency power supplies that keep these systems operational when mains power fails.
IN2 designs and coordinates the full range of fire and life safety systems, from fire detection and alarm through to emergency lighting, smoke control and suppression. Our designs are developed in close coordination with the fire strategy, ensuring that the M&E response is aligned with how the building is intended to be managed and evacuated in an emergency. We work to Approved Document B, BS 5839, BS 5266 and the relevant suppression standards, and produce design documentation that supports building control approval and, where required, consultation with the fire and rescue service.
Balance compliance, performance and operational practicality.
IN2 designs and coordinates fire and life safety systems that meet regulatory requirements and integrate seamlessly with wider building services. Effective life safety systems are critical to occupant safety, regulatory approval and long-term building operation.
